My Hiking story
It all began…
I actually started with Mount Rainer and the Ape Caves. I had known about them for a long time, and never took the time to go explore them. I made a plan to finally go see and experience the lava tubes from the famous eruption. I am pretty sure I was fully hooked after that excursion. Slowly my journey began. I added on Storm King (As pictured to the right, that was a year later), and various other hikes such as Mt. Si (this one got me questioning why the fuck I was hiking the whole way down, once at my car “what’s my next hike”), Mt. Forgotten, Lake 22 covered in snow, Upper Wildcat Lake (where I swam naked since I was the only one there), and few other memorable places. I am encouraged and excited for the next chapters, for each hike brings me healing and much needed recharge to my energy. As I continue to add in new ones, I will share my experience, and insights with myself. I look to learn more and more with each step into nature. Possibly find a friend or two on the way. Ultimately, the silence (other than natures symphony), solitude and serenity, are my goals when I venture in the unknown paths that life bring me. I hope you follow along and tell me, and others, your own adventures and moments of growth.
